What will STEAM look like at SPU?
In The Elementary Grades:Each grade level will work on a trimester-long Project Based Learning (PBL) activity focusing on STEAM cross-curricular standards. Students will be working within the classroom with their primary teacher, fellow students and Middle School Support teachers Mrs. Buck and Mrs. Priest. Students will be completing each project and showcase them each trimester, we strongly encourage any family, friends, and/or guardians to come see the students projects each trimester.

In the Middle School:All Middle School Students will meet with their STEAM TEAM -Mrs. Thompson, Ms. Mallory, and Ms. Lynch - every Thursday for a STEAM Rotation to work on their Trimester STEAM Project. Each grade level will complete a specific trimester Project Based Learning (PBL) assignment to be completed primarily during school hours that focuses on grade level specific science and math standards simultaneously, as well as technology, engineering and art integration! These projects will be displayed and presented at the end of each trimester demonstrating each students understanding and hard work throughout the trimester, we strongly encourage any family, friends, and/or guardians to come see the students projects each trimester.
